This is your chance to rid your home of unwanted furniture, fridges, timber and other inorganic rubbish!
The Mt Victoria Residents Association in conjunction with the Wellington City Council will be collecting on Saturday 4 December from 9am. Simply put the items on the roadside with a donation according to volume and weight of rubbish, eg. $50 for fridges and other large heavy items. All proceeds go to the Mt Victoria Residents Association, and donations are tax deductable – receipts will be provided.
Sorry, collectors can’t accept green waste such as grass clippings, domestic garbage or old computers. For assistance with bulky or heavy items call Kent beforehand on 021 536 873.
The Mt Victoria Festival will be held on Saturday 26 February 2011 in Roxburgh Street, following on from this year’s highly successful event. There will be stalls, exhibits, food, entertainment, a speaker’s corner and much more – details of all the action will be announced over the next few weeks. You can register as a stall holder here or use the links at right, and for information please contact email@example.com.
The semi-annual Clyde Quay School fair in Elizabeth Street is on again at the end of this month, and if previous years were anything to go by it will be a great event. You can support your local school at the same time as spending a fun couple of hours browsing the stalls and nibbling the food – so keep your diaries free on Sunday 28 November from 10am to 3:30pm.
