The New Crossways Community Trust is celebrating a year of our new community centre by holding a party on Friday 6 November from 6pm - 8pm.

Mt Victoria residents and users of the community centre are all invited by the New Crossways trustees to help celebrate the first successful year of the centre. Members of the variety of community groups based in Mt Victoria will be there, including the residents association, historical society, creche, civil defence, the churches and the newsletter, together with the groups using New Crossways. For anybody who has been thinking of becoming more involved in the community it will provide an opportunity to meet committee members and talk about how the groups operate and how you could join in.

Food and wine will be laid on at the centre as well as entertainment. Local city councillors and members of parliament have been invited, as well as city council staff.

New Crossways is at 6 Roxburgh St, just off Majoribanks St. It is above the tile shop beside Hazel’s restaurant. The open house function will give residents an opportunity to look in and see the space which has proved popular for dance and yoga classes, corporate seminars and private functions, as well as meetings. Many successful birthdays have been held there during the year, both for children and grown-ups.
